Dr. Meg Montague – Director

Qualifications
BA Hons Anthropology and an African Language (School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London), PhD (University of Queensland), Graduate Diploma of Public Policy (University of Melbourne), Advanced Diploma of Group Facilitation (Groupwork Institute of Australia) GAICD ILPM.

Experience
30 years’ experience running a social policy, research and evaluation consultancy working with government and non-government agencies in public health, community services, education and training. Particular interest in social justice and the causes of and solutions to poverty, homelessness and food insecurity.  Former Director, Chair and now Life Member of Hanover Welfare Services and member of the Launch Housing Advisory Council.

Special responsibilities
Dr Montague is Chair of the Nominations and Governance Committee and a member of the School Breakfast Club Program Monitoring & Evaluation Advisory Committee.

Mr Tass Mousaferiadis – Director

Qualifications
Bachelor of Education, University of Melbourne, 1982. Graduate Diploma of Health Education, University of Melbourne, 1985. Graduate Certificate in Business Management, Victoria University, 1995.

Experience
Tass brings a wealth of experience, based on more than 30 years working as a policy strategist in the government, health and community sectors. Tass currently consults to health and community agencies on policy, strategy, and governance. He has worked across a range of management and policy areas in government, advised Victorian Government ministers and served on a number of community and metropolitan health service boards. Tass is a non-executive director on the Board of Eastern Health Service, Board Chair of the Parenting Research Centre, Vice President of Star Health and on the Board of the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation. Tass is also a current affairs presenter on LGBTI community radio JOY 94.9.

Mr Justin Madden AM – Director

Qualifications
Justin is a registered Architect having run his own practice, and a qualified teacher.

Experience

Awarded Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2017.

Justin is a senior infrastructure consultant at Arup and works closely with Arup’s Leadership team in the areas of strategic project planning and infrastructure development across Australasia, and the South East Asian region. Justin’s career includes 15 years in the Victorian State Parliament, having held seven Ministerial portfolios within successive Victorian Labor Governments across 11 years including Minister for Youth Affairs and Minister Assisting the Minister for Planning, Minister for Sport and Recreation, Minister for Commonwealth Games, and Minister for Planning. Prior to his parliamentary career.

Justin held the role of President of the AFL Players Association during an AFL career totaling 332 AFL Games with Carlton and Essendon Football Clubs. Justin is a life member of the AFL, Carlton Football Club and The AFL Player’s Association.

 

Ms. Claire Hooper – Director

Bachelor of Business, Swinburne University of Technology. CA, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Experience

Claire currently holds a senior finance position at the University of Melbourne. She has more than 25 years’ experience in similar roles, principally within the banking and financial services industry. Claire is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
