Despite our reputation as the “lucky country” the issue of hunger exists in Australia. The reality is that 3.6 million Australians each year are food insecure – unable to afford even the basics.
To help address this problem, Foodbank relies on food donations (which are fit for consumption) from growers, manufacturers and retailers. You can donate excess stock, products near the end of their shelf-life, or you can dedicate a proportion of your output to Foodbank Victoria. We also take product that is out of specification or has incorrect labeling or damaged packaging.
In addition to food, we also accept a variety of personal hygiene items, including soap, shampoo and conditioner, sanitary pads, toilet tissue, toothbrushes and more.
If you are thinking of making a food donation, head over to the Food We Accept page to see a full list of the different foods we can accept.
If you would like to make a large donation of food, please complete our Donate Food Form or get in contact with our Food Donor Department (details below). We will then be in contact to discuss your donation.
