Despite our reputation as the “lucky country” the issue of hunger exists in Australia. The reality is that 3.6 million Australians each year are food insecure – unable to afford even the basics.
To help address this problem, Foodbank relies on food donations (which are fit for consumption) from growers, manufacturers and retailers. You can donate excess stock, products near the end of their shelf-life, or you can dedicate a proportion of your output to Foodbank Victoria. We also take product that is out of specification or has incorrect labeling or damaged packaging.
In addition to food we accept personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo and conditioner, sanitary items, toilet tissue, toothbrushes, household cleaners and pet food.
If you would like to make a large donation of food, please complete our Donate Food Form or get in contact with our Food Donor Department (details below). We will then be in contact to discuss your donation.
Run a Food Drive
We accept and distribute non-perishable food and grocery donations from the public collected via food drives. Find out how you can hold a food drive by visiting our food drive page.
